Urethral Catheter

A urethral catheter is a flexible tube inserted through the urethra into the bladder to drain urine. Made from latex, silicone, or PVC, it is available in different sizes and is often used post-surgery, in critical care, or for patients with urinary retention. The catheter may be Foley (with balloon) for long-term use or Nelaton for short-term use. It is sterile, disposable, and designed for patient comfort and minimal infection risk.
